Located at 319 Elm St, San Diego, CA 92101, Kenzi Coffee & Tea Garden operates as a cafe serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Great little dog friendly café! Had the almond croissant and a pandan matcha latte, both delicious. Also met some nice locals.

A really nice place for coffee in an unexpected area of lower bankers Hill. It’s in the same building as a vocational school. Service is super. Very convenient to the southern part of Balboa Park or walking to or from Little Italy. Feature a nice selection of scones and pastries from bread & Cie. And a very diverse coffee menu. note this is directly underneath the path of landing aircraft so it can be a little bit noisy if you’re sitting outside… However, they do have inside seating as well in a very uplifting interior space

ALERT! Long post ahead 🔥 Kenzie’s coffee shop is such a hidden gem and easily one of the best spots in the area. I tried the strawberry matcha and the ube coconut latte with cold foam and coconut shreds—both were absolutely delicious. The flavors are unique, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. These are definitely drinks you’ll find yourself craving again, especially on a nice day. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. It’s small but incredibly welcoming, with such a warm and inviting vibe. There’s a perfect little area to sit, relax, and enjoy the weather. I also loved seeing scripture written on the board—something I’ve never come across in other coffee shops. As someone who values that, it made the experience feel even more meaningful and personal. It’s impressive that there’s only one barista running the shop, yet everything flows so smoothly. Despite the size, I’ve seen people hold meetings and small gatherings here, which really speaks to how comfortable and well-loved this place is. Every time I visit, there’s always a line, and it’s easy to see why, customers leave happy and keep coming back. This place has such strong potential to grow even more.

I recently stumbled upon Kenzie and it will definitely be somewhere I visit regularly! Their iced vietnamese coffee is delicious, coconut latte was also good. They also have some gluten free pastries options. The staff is very friendly and I felt welcome from the moment I arrived!

The adorable young lady that helped me was super sweet. She made me a delicious sugar free vanilla latte, the only sugar free flavor they have, unfortunately. This is a small and quaint place. I came across it looking for coffee in the area since I moved away a couple years and prefer alternatives to Starbucks. It’s a little diamond in the rough. Wouldn’t expect something so cute amongst the parking lots and whatnot in the area. Easy enough to grab a coffee and a bite before hoping on the freeway and getting on to your day.
